Hyderabad, Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, the president of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP) and National Solidarity Council, has had his nomination papers accepted for NA 220 Hyderabad. This move signifies a significant step in the party’s commitment to bringing Nizam Mustafa to power.
According to Jamiat Ulema Islam, the acceptance of Dr. Zubair’s nomination papers, along with those of other key JUP members, marks a pivotal moment for the party. The nomination papers of JUP Central Vice President Nazim Ali Arain from NA-220 Hyderabad, JUP District General Secretary of Hyderabad Muhammad Rizwan Shaikh from NA 218, JUP leader Abdul Rehman Rajput from PS 64, JUP Latifabad leader Syed Muhammad Hasan Zaidi from PS 62, and JUP women’s wing chief Apa Shahida Haqqani for the women reserved seats in the National Assembly were also approved. All nominated candidates had their papers scrutinized and approved by the respective returning officers.
Dr. Muhammad Younis Danish, the JUP Central Spokesperson, addressed rumors about seat adjustments with Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP). He clarified that no official news regarding seat adjustment had been released by JUP. However, he revealed that Allama Farooq-ul-Hasan, the central leader of TLP, had telephoned Dr. Zubair, pledging his full support for NA-220 and assuring that TLP would not field a candidate against him. This support reportedly caused a wave of joy among the Ahle Sunnat community.
Dr. Danish criticized the actions of those who tried to make the telephonic conversation and support controversial. He stated that such behavior demonstrated the mental state of the members of the party involved and emphasized that JUP, a responsible political party, is not swayed by unreliable news or attempts at character assassination.
The JUP leader called for immediate attention to be given to baseless news and character assassination on social media. He urged action against elements within the party who are creating confusion among the Ahle Sunnat community and tarnishing the image of Ahl-e-Sunnat leaders and their central leadership.
The acceptance of these nomination papers and the support of key leaders reflect the unity and strategic planning within the JUP as they head into a crucial political period.
