Islamia University of Bahawalpur Hosts Seminar on Consequences of Drug Abuse

Bahawalpur, Responding to the directive of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur continues its seminar series aimed at raising awareness on the dangers and repercussions of drug abuse. Spearheaded by the committee led by Prof. Dr. Fayaz ud din Ahmed, the most recent seminar took place at the Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus, Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences.

Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences, Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, presided over the event. During the seminar, Assistant Professor from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Dr. Musrat Jahan, delivered an extensive talk on the harmful effects of drug use on both mental and physical well-being. Contributions were also made by Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf, Director of the Institute of Chemistry, Prof. Dr. Faizul Hasan Naseem, Director of Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Nargis Naz, Chairperson of the Department of Botany, who shared their insights. The event witnessed the participation of several faculty members, students, and other notable attendees including Dr. Shafqat Mehmood and Fatima Mazahir, Deputy Registrar Public Affairs.
