Karachi, The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) successfully hosted its Career Fair 2024 on January 30, drawing significant interest from students and industry representatives. The event, inaugurated by Mayor Karachi, Mr. Murtaza Wahab, and IoBM Chancellor Mr. Bashir Janmohammad, aimed to connect students with potential employers and offer career guidance.
According to Institute of Business Management, the Career Fair was a collaborative effort organized by IoBM’s Internship, Placement and International Office (IPIO-IoBM). Key organizers included Ms. Juveria Baig, Head of Department, and Mr. Abdul Khaliq, Assistant Manager, along with their team, comprising Ghazala Rizwan, Internship Officer, and interns Iqra Aurangzaib and Hamza Zahid. The IoBM leadership and various departments such as General Administration, Housekeeping, IT, MARCOM, Maintenance, and Security provided comprehensive support, alongside students from different societies who participated in planning and executing the event.
The Career Fair 2024 featured over 90 organizations from Pakistan’s corporate and banking sectors, offering students the opportunity to engage directly with HR personnel. These interactions provided valuable insights into the country’s job market, career advice, and practical tips on resume writing and interview preparation. Students explored a wide array of career possibilities, helping them to align their professional goals with their interests and areas of study.
This event underscored IoBM’s commitment to holistic education, ensuring students are well-prepared for the competitive job market and can effectively bridge the gap between academic learning and professional application.
