Indus Hospital and Health Network Inaugurates ICON 2024 in Lahore

Lahore, The Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) commenced its seventh biennial multidisciplinary conference, ICON 2024, with a grand opening event at The Indus Hospital, Jubilee Town Campus, Lahore. The conference, themed ‘Game Changing Solutions in Healthcare,’ aims to shape the future of healthcare in Pakistan through innovative approaches and collaborative partnerships.

According to The Indus Hospital, the conference will run from January 20-28, 2024, across various locations including Lahore, Badin, Muzaffargarh, and Karachi. ICON 2024 is set to provide a dynamic platform for healthcare professionals, students, and enthusiasts to engage in academic discourse and explore transformative healthcare solutions. The conference promises an enriching experience with over 80 professional workshops, 50+ diverse scientific sessions, and interactive plenary discussions focusing on technology-driven healthcare, innovative solutions, and collaborative partnerships.

Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President of IHHN, welcomed attendees in his opening address, highlighting the conference’s role in revolutionizing healthcare practices in Pakistan. He expressed pride in hosting healthcare professionals, medical students, and other partners, emphasizing the event’s potential to foster cutting-edge advancements in the healthcare industry.

The Honorable Governor of Punjab, Mr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rahman, acknowledged Indus’ significant contributions to healthcare in Punjab over the past decade. He praised the network’s efforts in managing public-sector hospitals and reaching out to vulnerable communities in remote areas of the province. Governor Rahman also commended the collaborative efforts of all involved in organizing ICON 2024, expressing confidence in the conference’s success.

The opening ceremony saw the participation of IHHN’s Senior Management, Celebrity Ambassadors, Sponsors, Media, and faculty members. The subsequent days of the conference are set to feature a variety of scientific sessions and interactive discussions in Lahore, Muzaffargarh, and Karachi, with professional workshops scheduled across these cities until January 26.
