Improvisational Drama “Aas Ke Tanke” Captivates Audience at Karachi’s Public Theater Festival

Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi’s 21-day “Public Theater Festival” successfully showcased the improvisational drama “Aas Ke Tanke” on its 11th day, capturing the audience’s attention with its intricate narrative. The play, written and directed by M. Jameel Rahi, featured a cast including Tayyab, Mahmood, Shamir Rahi, Kamal Idris, Aamir Rambo, Abdullah Lala, Faiza Malik, Sahar Ghazal, and Azmat Ali.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, “Aas Ke Tanke” portrays a complex family saga involving themes of separation, reunion, and unexpected familial ties. The story unfolds with a woman’s child being taken abroad, leaving her without support. As she remarries a man with a son, complications ensue with the return of her biological son from America. The narrative takes a dramatic turn when an unexpected marriage reveals hidden family connections, culminating in a tragic yet thought-provoking conclusion. The drama has been well-received by the audience, adding to the festival’s ongoing success.
