Islamabad: The Student Development and Placement Cell (SDPC) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) recently orchestrated two impactful workshops titled “Whole-Life Management, Personal Development and Leadership.” Held on September 25 for male students and September 26 for female students, the event drew approximately 300 attendees eager to cultivate balanced and purpose-driven futures.
The workshops aimed to equip students with the skills necessary to harmonize spiritual, professional, and personal aspirations, fostering self-leadership and resilience for ethically sound careers. Dr. Muhammad Arif, in his opening address, highlighted the objectives of the SDPC, a two-year program endorsed by the university’s President, to nurture both vocational and personal growth among students.
The sessions featured practical exercises designed to sharpen focus, enhance resilience, and position career choices within a broader, values-centered framework. Adding a touch of inspiration, a recorded motivational message from renowned celebrity Hadiqa Kiani was shared with participants.
Leading the mentoring sessions was Dr. Muhammad Nadeem Dogar, an expert trainer with over 25 years of experience in education and organizational development. Dr. Dogar, who holds advanced degrees in Organization Development and Human Resource Management, engaged students through interactive activities aimed at aligning their multi-faceted goals. His exercises emphasized self-leadership, effective decision-making under pressure, and creating intentional career paths.
Ms. Nuzhat Zareen, Director (UAFA), also contributed by delivering capacity-building sessions. She encouraged students to focus on personal development and support educational causes, highlighting an initiative to donate refundable security deposits to the SAFE account under the “Donate for Education” theme. The workshops concluded with a token of appreciation presented to Dr. Nadeem for his valuable contributions.
“This workshop transcends mere skill-building; it empowers young individuals to blend their values with their aspirations, enabling them to lead meaningful lives and positively impact society,” stated Dr. Muhammad Nadeem Dogar. “By linking purpose with practice, students can evolve into resilient leaders capable of navigating contemporary challenges with integrity.”
