Islamabad: In a strategic move to enhance healthcare benefits for its community, the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has entered into an agreement with Shahmshad Aslam Hospital, located in Wah Cantt, Taxila Rawalpindi. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) aims to offer on-panel medical treatment services to the university’s employees, their dependents, and parents.
The agreement stipulates that Shahmshad Aslam Hospital will provide indoor medical services to members of the IIUI fraternity on a credit basis. This development is part of IIUI’s broader initiative to expand healthcare support, following previous collaborations with Kulsoom International Hospital Islamabad and Bilal Hospital Rawalpindi.
The signing ceremony was held at the new campus of IIUI and was attended by representatives from both institutions. The delegation from Shahmshad Aslam Hospital was led by Maria Chughtai, Senior Manager Hospital, along with Haider Ali, Finance & Billing Officer, and Hashir Masood, Supervisor Nursing.
Representing IIUI, the event saw the participation of Dr. Inam Ul Haq, Director Administration/Works, Atiq Ur Rehman Chughtai, Director HRM&D, Noor Husain, Incharge Finance, Bilal Awan, Incharge Audit, and Dr. Mariam Javed, Deputy Director Female Finance, among other officials.
During the ceremony, representatives from Shahmshad Aslam Hospital emphasized their facility’s comprehensive range of general medical services, with a focus on gynecology. They affirmed the hospital’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare to the university community.
Dr. Inam Ul Haq expressed appreciation for the efforts of the university’s finance, audit, HRM&D, and administration teams, acknowledging the support of the Vice President Administration and Finance, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahman.
IIUI has previously secured agreements with other hospitals to provide on-panel medical treatment facilities to its community, including employees, dependents, students, and parents. These partnerships are designed to ensure access to emergency, planned, and subsidized medical care on credit.
The university’s management reiterated its commitment to forging healthcare collaborations with reputable hospitals to further enhance medical support services for its community.
