Islamabad: The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) celebrated students who memorized the Holy Qur’an in a ceremony at Faisal Mosque. The event, organized by the Da‘wah Academy’s Department of Qur’an Memorization, recognized the huffaz and their instructors.
IIUI President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmad, attended as the chief guest, while Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Director General of the Da‘wah Academy, presided over the function. Dr. Ilyas acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s contributions to the mosque’s construction and the university’s development, emphasizing the mosque’s significance as a center for Islamic moderation.
Prof. Dr. Alahmad praised the students, parents, and educators for their accomplishments. He stressed the importance of sincere devotion and reflection for truly benefiting from Qur’anic memorization. He also honored the late King Faisal and thanked the current Saudi leadership for their continued backing.
Coinciding with Pakistan’s Independence Day, Prof. Dr. Alahmad congratulated the nation. He also commended the Da‘wah Academy and media for organizing the program. The event ended with prayers for Pakistan and the Muslim world.
Prof. Dr. Alahmad stated that memorizing the Holy Qur’an is a lifelong dedication to its principles. He celebrated the young huffaz and urged them to promote Islamic knowledge and righteousness.
