Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Samina Malik, Rector of the International Islamic University (IIU), led a key meeting on Monday to oversee the progress in the university’s information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure, part of a broader project aimed at expanding and upgrading the institution.
According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the meeting convened members of the ICT infrastructure/CMS component sub-committee of the PC-1 project at IIU’s new campus. High-profile attendees included Vice President, Research and Enterprise, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Dean FET, Khan Zeb Jadoon, Incharge IT and his team, along with officials from the Finance, Planning, and Development departments.
The session focused on the advancements in the university’s ICT and Course Management System (CMS) enhancements, reflecting the administration’s commitment to modernizing and expanding its educational infrastructure. Dr. Malik emphasized the urgency of meeting project deadlines, highlighting the importance of the CMS’s full implementation and operationalization.
The rector commended the dedication of all involved, underlining the expectation for substantive work beyond mere attendance. She called for continued, concerted efforts to ensure the project’s success within its scheduled timeline, underscoring the significance of this initiative in bolstering the university’s educational capabilities and administrative efficiency.
