Grand Musical Night Celebrates Pakistan’s Cultural Heritage and Heroes

Rawalpindi: The Punjab Arts Council organized a Grand Musical Night in Rawalpindi to mark Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, celebrating the nation’s history and cultural heritage. This event featured performances by acclaimed artists and was attended by a large number of families, who filled the auditorium to capacity.

Shazia Rizwan, Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture, Government of Punjab, served as the chief guest. She emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of national heroes and the historic victory achieved by the armed forces in battles against a larger adversary.

The event was part of a series of programs organized across major cities in Punjab to pay tribute to these heroes and to celebrate Independence Day. The Rawalpindi Division was described as being vibrantly decorated for the occasion.

Muhammad Shakoor, Director of the Punjab Arts Council, highlighted the role of artists as cultural ambassadors who showcase national traditions. He praised Pakistani artists for their contributions in this regard.

Renowned singer Bano Rehmat led the musical performances with patriotic songs. Other artists, including Arshad Khan, Rizwana Khan, Shehryar Nasir, Mahmudah Kanwal, and Miz Ishaq, also delivered performances. Suleman Sunny hosted the event.

The program extended late into the night, with attendees expressing their appreciation for the Arts Council’s administration for organizing the event.
