Bahawalpur, November 10, 2021 (PPI-OT):First, out of three pre-conference workshops held at the Video Conference Room of Main Auditorium of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood, Dean Faculty of Information and Media Studies, Punjab University was the key note speaker of the workshop and delivered lecture on the topic “Interdisciplinary Methodological Practices in Social Sciences”. Conference’s Patron-in-chief Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur inaugurated the event. Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Conference Chair and Dean Faculty of Social Science, chaired the activity. Dr. Salman Bin Naeem Conference Secretary and Associate Professor, Department of Library and Information Sciences, moderated the two hours session.
Members of the conference steering Committee Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ijaz Latif, Chairman Department of International Relations, Prof. Dr. Syed Mussawar Hussain Bukhari, Chairman Department of Political Science, Prof. Dr. Abdul Wajid Khan, Chairman Department of Media and Communication Science, Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman Department of Social Work, Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Chairman Department of Applied Psychology and Dr. Shakil Akhtar, Assistant Professor Political Science and Conference Coordinator were present at this occasion. A large number of national and international students, researchers and faculty members from various universities participated in the workshop. This curtain raiser workshop was held in the backdrop of 1st International Conference on Interdisciplinary Approach in Social Sciences (ICoIASS) which will be held on 11-12 November 2021.
