Dr. Tayyab Qureshi presents his eco-friendly research contribution to a global audience

Lahore, October 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):The University of Lahore lecturer in the Department of Technology is making an amazing contribution to the global climate change narrative. Through his research paper titled “Developing Organic Waste Bio Refinery Model to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals”, Dr. Tayyab Qureshi is advocating a climate model that will put an end to the use of fossil fuel. His proposed model is aimed at facilitating the policymakers to formulate standards of biomass production and usage in Pakistan.

Dr. Qureshi’s research work was conducted within the scope of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is aimed at making the fuel efficient, clean, and optimal for use in the industrial sector. The results from his experimental work are providing technical grounds for designing advanced burning technologies for biomass.

His valuable findings were shared during the conference which was attended by leading researchers, scientists from industries, and universities from over 60 countries at the 19th International Conference on ‘Sustainable Energy Technologies – SET 2022’.

This academic platform was hosted by Haliç University, Sunum Engineering and Education, in collaboration with the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies (WSSET) and the University of Nottingham in Istanbul, Turkey on August 16-18, 2022.

The conference addressed all the 17 SDGs and provided a forum for the exchange of the latest high-quality research results and academic debate on priorities for sustainable development and energy security. All the presented papers at the conference were also published and catalogued by the Web of Science and Scopus.
