Badin: Dr. Sikandar Ali Mandhro Civil Hospital Badin, also known as Indus Hospital Badin Campus, successfully hosted a two-day Research Methodology Workshop aimed at enhancing the research skills of healthcare professionals. The event, organized under the leadership of the hospital’s Research Chair and Medical Director, focused on ethics, data management, and research synopsis to promote ethical research practices and improve patient care.
On the first day, August 4, Ms. Surhan Badar, IRB Coordinator at ORIC, led the session on Ethics and IRB Processes. Participants learned about obtaining IRB approval, mandatory IRB training, and common errors in informed consent forms.
The second day, August 5, was dedicated to Research Synopsis and Data Management. Ms. Nida Ghouri, Manager ORIC, along with Syed Abdullah Hasan, guided participants on writing research synopses and utilizing REDCap software for data management.
The workshop concluded with organizers emphasizing the significance of research in advancing medical knowledge. A vote of thanks was extended to facilitators and participants for their active involvement.
