Mardan: In a significant stride towards enhancing cyber awareness, Women University Mardan hosted a seminar on “Digital Literacy and Cyber Threats,” in partnership with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IT Board, Durshal, and the District Youth Office. The event, held on September 26 at the university’s main campus, aimed to foster awareness among students, faculty, and staff regarding the safe and responsible use of digital technologies.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana underscored the critical need for robust understanding of cyber security practices in light of the growing dependence on digital platforms. She commended the organizing committee for orchestrating a session of such immediate relevance.
Pir Amad Ali Shah, representing KPITB, delivered captivating presentations that covered a spectrum of topics including safe internet usage, cyber threats, data privacy, and strategies to guard against online fraud and cybercrime. The seminar concluded with an interactive Q and A session, providing attendees the opportunity to voice concerns and share experiences.
