Islamabad: A digital art exhibition showcasing Pakistan’s landscapes opened at the Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi, drawing large crowds and highlighting the importance of art in promoting national identity on a global scale. Dr. Anila Afzal, Head of Fine Arts at Barani Agricultural University, Rawalpindi, inaugurated the exhibition and commended young artists for their patriotic expressions and contribution to the country’s cultural representation internationally. She stressed the need to support and inspire both artistic endeavors and creators.
The exhibition, titled “Beautiful Pakistan,” displays digital artwork created by students enrolled in the Council’s Digital Art Class. Arts Council Director, Muhammad Shakoor, explained that the Council has consistently provided diverse training in arts and crafts to young people since its establishment. These initiatives not only nurture artistic talent and create job prospects but also propagate and advance Pakistani culture.
The opening ceremony was attended by a substantial audience, including Assistant Directors Sarfaraz Khan and Waqar Ali, several instructors from various disciplines such as Digital Art (Arsalan Ali), Spoken English (Akhtar Awan), Calligraphy (Azeem Iqbal), Painting (Younas Rumi), and Cooking (Laiba Irshad), along with Samia Khatoon, students, and numerous other artists. Participating students received certificates of recognition, and the exhibition will remain open to the public for one week.
