Rawalpindi, The Tehreek Nifaz Fiqh Jafaria commemorated the martyrdom day of Hazrat Umm Al-Binin (AS) with great devotion and respect, organizing a series of events in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. These events included mourning processions and assemblies, highlighting the significant role of Hazrat Umm Al-Binin (AS) in Islamic history.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the events were held to honor the 147th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and to celebrate Yom Madr Abbas Alamdar (AS). In Rawalpindi, a grand musical program was organized at the Punjab Arts Council, while in Islamabad, a central mourning assembly for women was held under the auspices of Anjuman Dukhtaran Islam, Umm Al-Binin WIF, Girls Guide, and Sakina Generation.
The program featured speeches and performances by various artists, including Tahir Nayar, Asma Lata, Ashraf Mirza, and Hameed Babar. The Chief Guest, Director Arts Council Waqar Ahmed, spoke about the historical struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the importance of educating the new generation about these principles.
In Islamabad, the central mourning assembly was addressed by Khatiba All Nabi Sayyida Bint Ali Mousavi, who emphasized the need to follow the footsteps of pious people like Hazrat Umm Al-Binin (AS) to overcome current challenges. The event showcased the rich cultural diversity of Punjab and the significance of preserving cultural heritage.
Assistant Director Muhammad Sulaiman highlighted the importance of culture in defining a region’s identity, stating that nations that neglect their cultural heritage lose their significance globally. He commended the Punjab Arts Council and the Department of Information and Culture for their efforts in cultural preservation.
The events concluded with a procession in which the coffin of Mother Abbas Alamdar (AS) was brought out, symbolizing the devotion to Hazrat Umm Al-Binin. This day of mourning and remembrance brought together people from various cities and towns, reflecting the widespread reverence for Hazrat Umm Al-Binin (AS) and her contributions to Islamic history.
