CM Parvez Elahi grants approval for the special allowance of traffic wardens and highway patrolling police

Lahore, September 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi accorded approval to grant special allowance for the Traffic Wardens and Highway Patrolling Police. CM said that the special allowance of the Traffic Wardens and Patrolling Police will be equal to the Punjab police.

He denounced that PML-N government did not do anything for the traffic wardens and the Patrolling Police. CM also granted approval for the induction of 142 vacancies in the Punjab Forensic Science Agency while approval has also been granted for the special allowance of the officials of Local Government from grade 1 to grade 19.

Principle approval has also been given for the induction of 19000 approved vacant posts for the minorities in various departments. CM presided over the 3rd Cabinet Standing Committees for Finance and Development meeting at CMO today. Approval has been granted for the new induction of more than 24000 posts from the constables to the sub-inspector.

CM said that the subsequent inductions on the new 5000 posts from constables to the sub-inspector will be done in a phased manner. Approval has also been granted for the issuance of funds during the meeting for the induction of approved vacant posts of 3000 constables and for purchasing operational vehicles for the police. CM said that no police welfare work was done during the tenure of Shehbaz Sharif. If today the police has out of order vehicles then the PML-N government is liable to be blamed adding that the crime rate increased due to the absence of the patrolling.

Patrolling will be done regularly with the new operation vehicles and the crime rate will decrease. Permission has also been granted during the meeting for doing induction in the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade. Approval has also been granted under the chair of CM Parvez Elahi for hundreds of development projects amounting to billions of rupees.

194 projects for the construction and repair of huge roads of hundreds of KMs across the province will be completed. Approval was also been granted for the development projects of Local Government, Housing and Public Health Engineering in the various districts of South Punjab and other cities.

Approval was also granted for the four projects of Primary and Secondary Healthcare and four projects of sports. Approval was also granted for the development projects of school education in Faisalabad. Approval was also granted to restore the surplus funds amounting to Rs. 88 crore for the Punjab Education Sector phase 3 project.

Approval for giving grant in aid was granted for the family members of the deceased during duty for literacy mobilize of Layyah and for the treatment of the four years old son of a Naib Qasid of Population Welfare Department. Approval was also granted to pay the arrears for Punjab Non Formal Education Project. The Economics Department of Punjab University will be upgraded. Principle approval was also given for the grant of Rs. 10 crore for establishing girl’s hostel in Government College.

Approval was also given to include the Engineering University of Sambrial in the annual development programme. It was also principally decided to issue grant in aid for the annual grant of Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital amounting to Rs. 10 crore. Principle approval was also given for restructuring of the ongoing smart programme with the assistance of the World Bank.

Approval was also given to continue the contract of the contract employees of the family welfare centre and Punjab Population and the appointment of the chief executive of Punjab Population Innovation fund. It was also decided to provide funds for the under completion projects of Punjab Cities Governance Improvement.

Approval was also given for the external auditor of Database Integration Plan for the financial year 2022 to 2025 and Punjab Pension Fund and Punjab General Provident Investment Fund. Endorsement to enforce the decisions of the forth meeting of national tax was also given during the meeting. Approval was also given for the notification of Punjab Livestock Breeding Act under 2014.

Approval was also given to give grade 17 from grade 16 to the four vacancies of personal assistants according to the court orders. Approval was also given for the regularization of the officials of motor transport management system and excise and taxation and narcotics control department. Approval was also given for the lease rent of the land for establishing vehicles inspection and certification system in DG Khan.

The meeting continue for four hours being chaired by the CM Parvez Elahi in which approval was granted to more than 80 agendas of various departments. Provincial Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, Provincial Finance Minister Mohsin Leghari, Chief Secretary Abdullah Khan Sumbal, Inspector General of Police Faisal Shahkar, Principal Secretary to CM Muhammad Khan Bhatti, Former Principal Secretary to CM GM Sikandar and secretaries of various departments attended the meeting.
