Karachi, 14 Oct 2023: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, marked the third death anniversary of senior party leader Rashid Rabbani by lauding his dedication to the party and democracy.

As per a press release from Media Cell Bilawal House, the PPP Chairman described Rashid Rabbani as an exceptional Jiyala – a term denoting the party’s devoted workers. He emphasized that Rabbani’s contribution to the PPP and his sacrifices for democracy stand unparalleled. Recalling the challenging phases the nation underwent, Zardari pointed out, “Whether it was the dark nights of dictatorship imposed on the country or the worst days of terrorism in Karachi, late Rabbani was one of those Jiyalas who never let the party flag down in metropolis.”

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also conveyed that the memory of Rashid Rabbani will forever remain etched in the minds and hearts of the party’s leadership and its members. On this occasion, he urged party officials and workers to offer prayers in remembrance of their late colleague.
