Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Calls for Unity to Address Pakistan’s Challenges; PPP Women Wing Extends Christmas Greetings

Karachi, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), emphasized the importance of overcoming the politics of division, hatred, and abuse to solve Pakistan’s problems during his address at the annual function of Bakhtawar Cadet College for Women in Nawabshah. He identified the economic crisis, climate change, and the growing population as significant challenges facing the country.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, Zardari stressed the potential to turn difficulties into opportunities through collaboration and effective use of the nation’s resources. He highlighted the critical role of Pakistan’s youth in shaping the country’s future and stressed the importance of education, employment, and health services. Zardari reiterated the relevance of Quaid-i-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s ideology of ‘Bread, Cloth and House’, especially in the current context of climate change and its implications, including potential floods and water scarcity due to melting Himalayan snow.

Chairman Zardari outlined several initiatives for addressing these challenges, including doubling salaries to fight inflation, introducing Kisan Card for farmers, Mazdoor Card for laborers, and Youth Card for the youth. These measures aim to directly benefit the working class and foster agricultural prosperity. He also spoke about establishing Youth Centers in each district, equipped with digital libraries, free Wi-Fi, vocational training, and career counseling, as well as promoting Pakistani youths’ employment abroad.

On healthcare, Zardari expressed the desire to replicate Sindh’s health sector achievements nationwide. He discussed the PPP’s plans to address climate change and the energy crisis by investing in green and solar energy and establishing energy parks.

Zardari criticized the Islamabad bureaucracy for its approach to national finances and proposed abolishing 17 non-essential ministries to save funds for development and welfare. He urged for a collaborative effort to change the country’s destiny.

In a separate message, Faryal Talpur, President of the PPP’s Women Wing, extended Christmas greetings to the Christian community in Pakistan. Acknowledging their contributions, particularly in education and health, she expressed hope that the community would continue to support the PPP in the upcoming general elections, scheduled for February 8. Talpur reaffirmed the PPP’s commitment to advocating for the rights of the marginalized and ensuring equal rights for all citizens of Pakistan, regardless of faith.
