Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Advocates for Kashmir on Solidarity Day

Karachi, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has linked the party’s recent electoral victory to a renewed impetus for addressing the plight of those in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). On Kashmir Solidarity Day, Zardari highlighted the need for Pakistan to unify and abandon divisive politics to effectively support the Kashmir cause, echoing the historical commitments made by his family and party predecessors.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Zardari, in his statement, evoked the declarations of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto regarding Kashmir’s pivotal role for Pakistan, emphasizing that the struggle for Kashmir could extend for centuries if necessary. He underscored the significance of February 5, designated as Kashmir Solidarity Day by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, as a global acknowledgment of Kashmir’s ongoing struggle for autonomy.

Zardari’s message further committed to following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Prime Minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and his mother, Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, in advancing the Kashmir cause and urging the international community to honor its promises to the Kashmiri people. He also paid homage to the resilience and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, who continue to fight for their freedom amidst severe repression.
