Lahore: Prof. Dr. Sumera Zaib delivered a plenary lecture on novel drug discovery for diabetes management at the 4th Conference on Emerging Trends in Chemistry, held at the University of Management and Technology. Her presentation was part of the UMT Multidisciplinary Science Congress 2026.

According to University of Central Punjab, Dr. Zaib's lecture, titled "Managing Diabetes with Novel Drug Discovery: Challenges and Opportunities," focused on the discovery of synthetic inhibitors and the identification of promising biomarkers and insulin-related proteins. She addressed the challenges in translating scientific discoveries into practical applications.
