Workshop on “Mendeley Reference Management Software” held at University of Turbat 

Turbat, October 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Directorate of Academics, University of Turbat (UoT) organized a workshop on “Mendeley Reference Management Software” on 6th October 2022 at the Computer Lab, Department of Management Sciences.

Dr. Amir Zeb, Assistant Professor, Natural and Basic Sciences Department conducted the workshop which was attended by the students and faculty members. The participants were informed about the advantages of Mendeley and were given hands-on training on how to use the software.

Further, the Resource Person emphasized that the researchers have to shift from manually referencing to Mendeley Software which will provide great help when writing a scientific paper or report. At the end of the workshop Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean of Academics extended his gratitude to the resource person and participants for attending the workshop.

GYM Club / Directorate of Research, Innovation and Commercialization organized a seminar entitled “Distribution of Wildlife fauna and its importance according to eco-region of Pakistan” at the University of Chitral 

Chitral, October 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Commercialization organized a seminar entitled “Distribution of Wildlife fauna and its importance according to eco-region of Pakistan” on 15th September 2022 to shed light on the Wildlife Importance of the Chitral and Gilgit area.

The seminar was chaired by Dr. Muhammad Romman, Deputy Director ORIC/ Focal Person GYM Club, University of Chitral. The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Rajpar Muhammad Nawaz, Assistant Professor, Department of Forestry, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal, and Dir Upper.

Ms. Nahida Noor, (Member Oversight Committee (OC), Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club, University of Chitral), Dr. Habib Ullah Nawab, (Convener Oversight Committee (OC), Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club, University of Chitral), Dr. Ishfaq Hameed, (HOD, Department of Botany, University of Chitral) and Mr. Fathul Bari, (Lecturer, Department of Zoology, University of Chitral) graced the occasion. Members of the GYM Club were also present at the event.

The seminar was concluded with a healthy Question, Answer session by students and faculty members of the Department of Botany and Department of Zoology. Certificates were distributed by Dr. Rajpar Muhammad Nawaz to the participants. Chitrali Cap and Shield were presented to the resource person.

Workshop on “Understanding the Major Databases and Indexes” held at University of Turbat

Turbat, October 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):A one-day workshop on “Understanding the Major Databases and Indexes” was organized by the Directorate of Academics on 7th October 2022 at the Video Conference Hall, University of Turbat (UoT).

Mr. Abdul Majid Nasir, Assistant Professor Department of Commerce conducted the workshop which was attended by the faculty members. The Resource Person presented a brief presentation about databases and indexes when researchers are writing a thesis, dissertation, or research paper.

Sharing his views on the occasion, the Resource Person said that understating the Databases is essential for researchers, prior literature review, and publishing their research findings. At the end of the workshop, Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean of Academics thanked the resource person and participants for sparing time and attending the workshop.

Chitral, October 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Commercialization organized a seminar entitled “Wildlife significance in perspective of Hindukash Region” on 16th September 2022 to shed light on the Wildlife Importance of the Chitral and Gilgit area.

The seminar was chaired by Dr. Muhammad Romman, Deputy Director ORIC/ Focal Person GYM Club, University of Chitral. The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Muhammad Zafar Khan, Chairman, Department of Forestry, Range and Wildlife Management, Karakoram International University, and Gilgit. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Khan started the seminar by highlighting the alarming surge in the Chitral. He furthered this by sharing the importance of Wildlife in the Hindukush Region.

The seminar was chaired by Dr. Muhammad Romman, Deputy Director ORIC/ Focal Person GYM Club, University of Chitral. The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Niaz Ali, Assistant Professor, Department of Agriculture, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal, and Dir Upper. Dr. Niaz Ali encompassed misuse of pesticides and insecticides in Chitral.
