Karachi, The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi Division has expressed its hearty congratulations to the People’s Party Parliamentarians’ Co-Chairman, Asif Ali Zardari, on his nomination as the President of Pakistan. Deputy Information Secretary and Eastern District Convenor Asif Khan hailed the nomination as a significant milestone that will not only stabilize democracy but also mark a new chapter in the country’s political history.



According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Asif Khan shared his thoughts during a discussion with party delegations at the Eastern District Liaison Office. The meeting was attended by prominent PPP members including Khawarshah, Faraz Ahmad, Iqbal Noomi, Fahadrajput, Nafis Khattak, Arham Khan, Aqeel Haider, and others. Khan emphasized the PPP’s pivotal role in championing democracy, human rights, and equality, noting that the nomination of Asif Ali Zardari as President has sparked a wave of joy among the populace.



The PPP’s statement underscored Asif Ali Zardari’s significant contributions during his previous tenure as President, particularly in upholding the rule of law and the constitution. Zardari’s leadership is credited with guiding the nation and ensuring the completion of the constitutional term of the Parliament and the establishment of a new government. The PPP anticipates that Zardari’s presidency will address the sense of deprivation in Sindh, including Karachi, and ensure that smaller provinces receive their constitutional rights.
