Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, Expands Cultural Influence to the U.S. and Nationwide

Karachi, In a significant expansion of cultural influence, the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, has successfully organized conferences in the United States and other Pakistani cities, as announced by Mohammad Ahmed Shah, the Provincial Minister for Information, Minority Affairs, Social Welfare, and President of the Arts Council. This announcement came during the Arts Council’s Annual General Body meeting held on Sunday night in Karachi.

According to the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Shah stated that the aim was to unify various languages and communities across the country through Literature Festivals. The efforts marked the first-ever collaboration of all Arts Councils of Sindh, which led to Shah’s election as the President of the Arts Council of Pakistan. Shah credited the members of the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, for their trust and support in what he described as a social revolution benefiting artists nationwide.

Saleem Rajput, Commissioner Karachi and Chairman of the Arts Council, commended President Ahmed Shah’s efforts, acknowledging the public’s appreciation of these initiatives. Rajput, a member of the council who traveled from Gilgit to vote, proposed organizing programs in Gilgit and Skardu under the Arts Council’s umbrella. He also highlighted the Sindh government’s efforts in improving urban living conditions, focusing on transportation, price control, and other essential services.

The meeting concluded with the approval of the council’s annual activities, audit reports, and a performance review, followed by a dinner attended by numerous members. A moment of remembrance was observed for members who passed away over the past year.
