Arts Alumni Festival 2025 Celebrates Martyrs and Showcases Talent


Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi hosted the second day of its “Arts Alumni Festival 2025,” with Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, in attendance. The festival, dedicated to the martyrs of the Pakistan-India conflict, featured performances honoring the bravery of the Pakistan Armed Forces. President of the Arts Council, Muhammad Ahmed Shah, emphasized the event’s dedication to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.



The day began with a recitation of the Holy Quran and the national anthem, where the audience stood in respect. Chief Minister Shah congratulated the performers and expressed gratitude to Ahmed Shah for the invitation. He applauded the festival’s tribute to the armed forces and recalled the nation’s unity during the 2025 conflict, drawing parallels to the 1965 spirit.



Shah highlighted the events of May 7 and May 10, noting the Pakistan Air Force’s response to multiple attacks, including the downing of five Indian aircraft. He criticized India’s stance on incidents like Pehlgam and praised Pakistan’s unified response.



Muhammad Ahmed Shah reiterated the festival’s dedication to martyrs and celebrated the creative contributions of graduates. A lineup of poets and musicians, including Ambreen Haseeb Ambar and Muhammad Zubair, delivered stirring performances. The festival also featured theater plays, workshops, and discussions, emphasizing traditional Pakistani culture.



The event’s diverse offerings were complemented by art exhibits and food stalls, creating a vibrant atmosphere that celebrated both artistic talent and national pride.
