Almost three quarters (73%) of the Pakistani population thinks that the country’s economic situation has gotten worse in the last six months: Consumer Confidence Index Q3 2022 by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan and Dun and Bradstreet

Islamabad, March 31, 2023 (PPI-OT): According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, almost three quarters (73%) of the Pakistani population thinks that the country’s economic situation has gotten worse in the last six months.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country, was asked the question “In your opinion, how would you describe the current economic situation in Pakistan as compared to the last six months?” In response, 2% said it is a lot better, 10% said it is better, 12% said there has been no change, 40% said the country’s economic situation has gotten worse while 33% said it is a lot worse and 3% said they did not know.
