A delegation from University Technology Mara Barak Branch Malaysia visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur 

Bahawalpur, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):According to the vision of Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, university has attained the status of a global university. According to the recent ranking of Times Higher Education, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has joined the ranks of the first 800 universities in the world. This is the reason why various international institutions and universities are promoting links and cooperation with the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

In this regard, a delegation consisting of teachers and students of University Technology Mara Barak Branch Malaysia organized by Directorate of International Linkages, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur for three days. The delegation was led by Deputy Rector Bahrun Noor Hayati bint-e-Bahrun, other members included Muhammad Junina bint-e-Muhammad and Director International Linkages Daljit Daljit Singh Sidhu Jana Singh and 15 students.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Focal Person Director International Linkages Prof. Dr. Abid Shehzad, Assistant Professor Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain Coordinator, Director Enabling Center and Member Syndicate Dr. Samar Fahad, Deputy Registrar Fatima Mazahir, other faculty members and staff officers performed the duties of hosting. The members of the delegation had a detailed meeting with Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and discussed the cooperation between the two universities.

The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the delegation’s arrival at Jamia Islamia. A special dinner was also organized on this occasion in which Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Regional Police Officer Munir Ahmed Zia Rao, Prof. Dr. Sajjad Khan, Vice Chancellor Cholistan University of Animal Sciences, Dean Faculty of Chemical and Bio logical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Dean Faculty of Law and Chairman Department of Pakistan Studies Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani, Dean Faculty of Islamic Learning Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Alumni Naseer Ahmed Nasir, Dr. Azhar Hussain Director Alumni, Industrialist and Media Personality Uzair Ahmed Chaudhry and Teachers participated.

The members of the delegation visited Abbassia Campus and Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus and appreciated the ongoing curricular and co-curricular activities of the university and also participated in a special event with more than 1000 teachers and students at Khawaja Ghulam Fareed Auditorium. The members of the delegation were also taken to the historical sites of Bahawalpur. The visitors from Malaysia also saw the light and sound show at Noor Mahal and appreciated the initiatives taken by the Bahawalpur Garrison to promote the historical sites and archeology.
