LAHORE: The Department of Chemical Engineering at UET Lahore organized InternFest 2026, a nationwide chemical engineering internship competition, on October 7, 2026. The event served as a platform for students to exchange industrial experiences and foster learning through presentations evaluated by industry professionals.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the event included participants from Minhaj University Lahore, UET New Campus (KSK), and the Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology, University of the Punjab. These students joined those from UET Lahore in presenting their internship experiences across three panels. The presentations were assessed by industry experts, adding professional insights to the students' educational journey.

The Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, attended as the Chief Guest. He highlighted the importance of combining technical skills with interpersonal and communication abilities for a successful career. He acknowledged the efforts of Dr. H. M. Zaheer Aslam and the chemical engineering faculty in organizing the event. The university expressed gratitude to the industry professionals who participated as judges and to sponsors such as Vision Nexus & High Speed Consultancy, World Wide Cables, and Crown Foam for their support.

InternFest 2026 successfully facilitated interaction among students, academicians, and industry professionals, transforming individual internship experiences into collective learning and enhancing industry-academia collaboration.
