Karachi: Egyptian squash player Salman Khalil clinched victory against Pakistani contender Nasir Iqbal in the final match of the PN Fleet Club Squash Open 2026, held from July 31 to August 4. The tournament, categorized as a Copper Level competition, featured a prize pool of USD 41,000.
According to Pakistan Squash Federation, despite a strong showing throughout the tournament, Nasir Iqbal was defeated by third-seeded Salman Khalil with a scoreline of 3-0 in the final match, which included set scores of 14-12, 11-3, 13-11, taking a total of 42 minutes. The tournament also saw commendable performances from other Pakistani players. Muhammad Asim Khan advanced to the semi-finals, while Noor Zaman and Muhammad Hamza Khan reached the quarter-finals, showcasing a solid effort throughout the event.
The PN Fleet Club Squash Open 2026 witnessed a commendable level of participation and competition, with players representing their countries with dedication and skill.
