ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the officers and personnel of Pakistan Police who lost their lives in the line of duty, marking Police Martyrs Day on August 4. The president emphasized the importance of their sacrifices for the peace and security of the nation.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Zardari highlighted the critical role of police forces in combating crime, terrorism, and violent extremism. He acknowledged their tactical proficiency in disrupting criminal and extremist networks, which stands as a testament to their professional dedication.

The president expressed appreciation for the courage of police personnel, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, noting their effective responses during confrontations with terrorists.
