Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressed a workers' convention in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, expressing concerns over recent electoral processes and calling for transparent elections. He invoked Tacitus, an ancient Roman historian, to describe the current situation in the region, questioning the democratic nature of governance from Mirpur to Poonch.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari congratulated several party members on their electoral victories, emphasizing the responsibility to protect and count every vote. He criticized the conduct of elections and highlighted incidents of violence and alleged rigging, including attacks on polling stations and the removal of polling agents. Bilawal asserted that these actions were aimed at undermining the PPP's influence, particularly in Chaudhary Yasin's constituency.

Chairman Bilawal urged the state to prioritize national interest over political affiliations, specifically criticizing decisions that seemingly favored the PML-N. He reiterated the PPP's commitment to the national interest and condemned the violence and electoral irregularities witnessed in Azad Kashmir. Bilawal called for the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to address the issues and prevent further loss of life.

In his address, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized the importance of peaceful and transparent elections, urging PPP workers to mobilize support and counteract voter suppression tactics. He announced a rally on 30 July to protest electoral malpractice and reaffirmed the party's commitment to peaceful political engagement.
