Turbat: Ms. Shali Anwar and Ms. Zameera Wahid, scholars from the University of Turbat, successfully defended their MPhil theses in biochemistry, showcasing their research achievements. Their work was supervised by Dr. Jahangir Khan and co-supervised by Dr. Afsar Mian and Dr. Haneef-ur-Rehman, with collaboration from Aga Khan University laboratories.

According to University of Turbat, the scholars defended their theses on January 20, 2026, with external evaluations conducted via video link by Prof. Dr. Ali Akbar and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Buzdar. Ms. Shali's research has been recognized internationally, while Ms. Zameera focused on beta-thalassemia challenges in District Kech. University officials praised their contributions to the field of biochemistry.
