National Outreach Program for Faculty Begins at UET Mardan

Mardan: The National Outreach Program for Faculty at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan commenced its 20-day training initiative aimed at academic development and professional enhancement for its faculty members. The program, which started on April 24 and will run until May 20, 2025, has attracted 30 participants from different departments of the university.

According to University of Engineering and Technology - Mardan, the program's opening ceremony featured Dr. Ibrar Ali Shah, Chairman of the Department of Computer Software Engineering at UET Mardan, as the Chief Guest. Representatives from NAHE-HEC and university leadership were also present to introduce the program's structure and objectives. The initiative, comprising nine modules, is designed to improve teaching, research skills, and academic leadership.

Following the inauguration, the first module, "Teaching as a Profession in Higher Education," was conducted by Dr. Tajjudin Sharar, Assistant Professor and Provost at the University of Chitral. This session focused on the philosophical and ethical aspects of teaching, the challenges educators face, and strategies for balancing multiple academic roles. Participants engaged with real-life case studies, prompting thoughtful discussions and reflections.

The program's first day set a collaborative and purposeful tone, reflecting the commitment of participants to enhance their professional competencies.
