Harare: Pakistan's U19 cricket team is set to face Zimbabwe in their final group-stage match of the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup, looking to secure a spot in the Super Six stage. The match is scheduled to take place at the Takashinga Sports Club on Thursday, 22 January.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Pakistan's U19 team, led by Farhan Yousaf, is aiming to conclude the group stage with a victory following a win against Scotland and a loss to England. The team previously triumphed in a tri-series against Zimbabwe, which they won by nine wickets.

The match will commence at 9:30 a.m. local time and will be broadcast live in Pakistan on PTV Sports and Geo Super, with streaming available on multiple platforms. In past encounters, Pakistan U19 has dominated Zimbabwe, winning 15 out of 18 matches.

The tournament format allows the top three teams from each group to advance to the Super Six stage. Pakistan, currently second in Group 'C', is on track to face another qualifying team in the upcoming Super Six matches.

The team's preparation was evident during a recent training session in Harare, where players engaged in extensive batting and fielding drills. Fast bowler Abdul Subhan expressed confidence in the team's readiness and emphasized the importance of the upcoming match.

As the tournament progresses, Pakistan's U19 team aims to continue their successful run and advance to the semi-finals, set for early February, with hopes of reaching the final on 6 February.
