Manama, Bahrain: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain hosted a luncheon in honor of President Asif Ali Zardari, marking a significant moment during the Pakistani president's four-day official visit to the Kingdom.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari, accompanied by First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, was also invited by King Hamad to view Bahrain's renowned collection of pure-bred Arabian horses at the Royal Stud. This exclusive tour provided insight into one of the most prestigious equine collections globally.
During the visit, President Zardari was briefed on King Hamad's role in preserving ancient Bahraini horse strains, including the Al Dahmeh, Kuheilatul Jellabieh, and Kuheilatul Aafas. These lineages are noted for their "asil" (pure) status and distinctive qualities such as speed and intelligence.
President Zardari expressed admiration for King Hamad's efforts in preserving these rare bloodlines, highlighting the shared cultural and Islamic heritage between Pakistan and Bahrain. The Arabian horse is seen as a symbol of the enduring connection between the two nations.
The luncheon was attended by senior members of the Bahraini Royal Family and a high-level Pakistani delegation, fostering a warm and cordial atmosphere.
