Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Secretary General Humayun Khan has expressed serious concern over the critical issues facing the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), stating that the province's residents are trapped in a "tsunami" of problems with no one to address their plight.
Humayun Khan criticized the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for being unaware of the public's problems, highlighting that the leader is often focused on trips to other provinces. He pointed out that development projects in KP are barely being implemented, leading to a state of stagnation in the region.
The PPP official emphasized the deprivation of basic services faced by the people of KP, noting severe neglect in the health, education, employment, and infrastructure sectors. According to Khan, the provincial government's priorities do not align with addressing these public issues, but rather focus on personal and political interests.
He noted that the Chief Minister's attention remains on securing the release of a prisoner, while citizens continue to face challenges such as inflation, unemployment, and insecurity.
Khan stressed the urgent need for practical measures and effective governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rather than symbolic activities, to provide real relief to its people.
He further assured that the Pakistan Peoples Party remains committed to public politics and stands with the oppressed people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The party, he stated, will persist in raising its voice for citizens' rights on every platform to ensure that the people receive their due entitlements.
