This analysis is part of a series by the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) examining the unrepresentativeness of electoral outcomes in Pakistan. The series sheds light on how the First-Past-The-Post system can distort representation in contests with multiple candidates, a common scenario in Pakistan. Such electoral dynamics may lead to a feeling of disenfranchisement among voters and raise questions about the legitimacy of elected representatives, potentially contributing to political instability.
