Haripur: The University of Haripur recently concluded a 10-day Faculty Development Training Program aimed at enhancing professionalism, pedagogy, and research in higher education. The program, titled “Empowering Educators: Enhancing Professionalism, Pedagogy, and Research in Higher Education,” culminated in a closing ceremony attended by faculty, trainers, and university leaders.
The final session included a lecture by Prof. Dr. Shahid Ali from the Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar, focusing on academic planning and curriculum development. Dr. Ali emphasized the significance of aligning curricula with both national and global trends and adopting teaching strategies that promote critical thinking and student engagement.
Over the course of the program, faculty members engaged in various professional development activities. These included sessions on research grant proposal writing, communication skills, psychological well-being, and leadership-driven academic mentoring.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman led a session on research grant proposal writing, underscoring the university’s dedication to fostering a research-oriented academic environment. He praised the faculty for their participation and thanked the trainers for their contributions.
