Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari addressed the nation on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, celebrating the country’s fortitude and unity against external threats. He congratulated Pakistanis worldwide, commemorating the sacrifices that birthed the nation. Zardari paid tribute to the country’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and those involved in the Pakistan Movement.
The president emphasized Pakistan’s recent triumphs in Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos as significant achievements, showcasing the nation’s unwavering resolve. He described Pakistan’s reaction to Indian aggression as courageous and restrained, demonstrating the country’s commitment to peace while safeguarding its sovereignty.
