Young Artists Shine at Rawalpindi’s Sur Sangeet Musical Show

Rawalpindi: In celebration of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, the Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi hosted a music show, Sur Sangeet, showcasing the talents of young artists from the Rawalpindi Division. The event was part of a series of activities organized by the Information and Culture Department, Government of Punjab, spanning from August 1 to August 14, 2025.

The show featured performances by artists such as Ustad Azhar Shah, Wazir Ali, Ramiz Ishaq, and several others, who captivated the audience with their renditions of folk, classical, and patriotic songs. The event drew a significant crowd, including civil officers, poets, and other artists, who expressed their appreciation for the performances.

Muhammad Shakoor, Director of the Arts Council, emphasized the patriotic spirit of the Pakistani nation, noting the readiness of the people to make sacrifices for their country. He also paid tribute to the armed forces for their recent efforts in the battle for truth and Operation Bunyan Al-Marsoos against India.

The Sur Sangeet music show is just one of many events organized in Rawalpindi to mark the Independence Day celebrations, which also include activities such as tree planting, building decoration, and cake cutting.
