PDP Leaders Call for Lifetime Achievement Award for Dr. Jamil Ahmad Khan

KARACHI: Leaders of the Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) have called on the Sindh government to honor Dr. Jamil Ahmad Khan, a distinguished engineer and former vice chancellor of NED University, with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Altaf Shakoor, the chairman of the PDP, and Iqbal Hashmi, the party’s general secretary, emphasized Dr. Khan’s significant contributions to engineering education in Pakistan. They also highlighted his role as the founder of the Pakistan Academy of Engineering.

Expressing concern for Dr. Khan’s health, the PDP leaders wished him a swift recovery and a long life. They stated that the nation takes pride in his achievements and advocated for recognition from the government.

In addition to the provincial award, Shakoor and Hashmi urged the federal government to consider Dr. Khan for a civil honor, such as the Nishan-e-Pakistan, to acknowledge his lifetime of service.
