Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Meets U.S. Senator Jim Banks

Washington: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and Head of Pakistan’s Parliamentary Diplomatic Mission, Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, held a significant meeting with U.S. Senator Jim Banks, a senior Republican leader and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. The meeting took place at the Hart Senate Building in Washington, D.C.

During the meeting, Chairman Bhutto Zardari briefed Senator Banks on the recent escalation in tensions between Pakistan and India, highlighting India’s unprovoked aggression. He emphasized that Pakistan’s measured and strategic response successfully dismantled the myth of Indian military superiority in the eyes of the international community.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s consistent desire for peace in the region, stating that while Pakistan seeks stability and dialogue, India’s increasingly aggressive posture is a growing concern.

He urged the United States and other responsible global powers to take a principled stance and play their part in restraining India’s war-mongering tendencies. He stressed that India’s actions, fueled by hatred and prejudice, pose a serious threat to the fabric of a peaceful and civilized global order.

The two leaders also discussed avenues to further strengthen bilateral ties, regional cooperation, and the role of parliamentary diplomacy. The meeting concluded with mutual agreement on enhancing cooperation and engagement between the two countries.
