Karachi: Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) held a ceremony on Thursday to commemorate Mehfil-e-Milaad-un-Nabi (PBUH) at its auditorium.

According to Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai, Vice Chancellor of SMIU, spoke on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and emphasized the potential of these teachings to transform society. He highlighted the importance of the Prophet's Last Sermon, which advocates for eliminating distinctions based on color, race, and gender to establish peace, brotherhood, and equality.

During the event, SMIU student Hamza Arshad recited the Qaseeda Burda Sharif. Students from SMI Model School, including Haseeb, Uzma, and Bismah, presented Naat-e-Sharif, and Urooj delivered a speech on the character and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event concluded with prayers for the peace and prosperity of the country and the Muslim community. Syeda Nazia Ashraf, a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, moderated the program.
