President Zardari Hails China’s Role in Strengthening Pakistan Ties

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended congratulations to the governments and peoples of Pakistan and China on the 74th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. He highlighted the significant role China has played in Pakistan’s socio-economic development and emphasized the historic and strategic partnership between the two nations.

President Zardari described the bilateral relationship as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy. Over the past seven decades, the ties between the two countries have evolved into a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. The President referred to Pakistan and China as “iron brothers,” emphasizing the all-weather friendship they share.

Acknowledging China’s support, President Zardari expressed gratitude for its consistent assistance in times of need. He noted China’s role in bolstering Pakistan’s economic and social sectors, as well as its defense capabilities.

The President highlighted the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a key example of bilateral cooperation. He noted that CPEC has positively impacted Pakistan’s economy, infrastructure, and energy sector.

President Zardari emphasized that the relationship between Pakistan and China is built on mutual trust, respect, and goodwill. He reiterated the commitment of both countries to promote regional peace, stability, and shared prosperity. He expressed Pakistan’s intention to deepen ties in economy, technology, defense, education, and trade.

The President extended his best wishes to the people and leadership of China, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship in the future.
