Pakistan Spinner Noman Ali Achieves Historic Hat-Trick Against West Indies

Multan: Pakistan’s left-arm spinner, Noman Ali, made history by becoming the first spinner from his country to achieve a Test hat-trick during the opening day of the second Test against the West Indies. His remarkable performance in Multan placed him among the elite group of Pakistan bowlers who have accomplished this feat.

According to a statement by International Cricket Council, Ali achieved the hat-trick in the 11th over of the innings. He first enticed Justin Greaves into a false stroke, leading to a catch by Babar Azam at gully. He then trapped Tevin Imlach lbw, before finally dismissing Kevin Sinclair with another edge to Azam.

Ali’s achievement marks the first Test hat-trick by a Pakistan player since Naseem Shah’s against Bangladesh in 2020. The 38-year-old spinner continued his impressive form by claiming a five-wicket haul, further solidifying his position as the leading wicket-taker in the series against the West Indies.

This milestone adds Ali’s name to the list of Pakistan players who have achieved Test hat-tricks, joining the ranks of Wasim Akram, Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Sami, and Naseem Shah.
