Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the trophy for the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, named “The Orion Trophy,” during a ceremony held on February 13, 2025, at the Polo Ground of Race Course Park. The event was attended by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, franchise owners, team captains, and representatives from Habib Bank Limited (HBL), the title sponsor.
According to Pakistan Super League, Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his enthusiasm for the league’s tenth edition and highlighted the PSL’s continuing success in promoting cricket across Pakistan. The unveiling of the Orion Trophy, he noted, symbolizes the spirit and competitive excellence of the league, which connects deeply with Pakistani cricket fans who relish every aspect of the game.
The Orion Trophy, intricately designed and crafted, is made from pure silver and coated in white gold, taking over 900 hours of meticulous work and featuring 18,000 hand-placed stones. It epitomizes the high stakes and prestige of winning the PSL, now one of the most anticipated cricket leagues globally.
During the ceremony, representatives from all six PSL franchises expressed their hopes and determination for the upcoming season. Ali Naqvi of Islamabad United, Salman Iqbal of Karachi Kings, Atif Rana of Lahore Qalandars, Ali Khan Tareen of Multan Sultans, Javed Afridi of Peshawar Zalmi, and Nadeem Omar of Quetta Gladiators shared their perspectives on the challenges and excitement of competing for the distinguished trophy.
