University of Turbat Committee Advances Academic Standards and Collaboration

Turbat: The University of Turbat’s Affiliation Committee convened for its fourth meeting on September 20, chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor, Dean of the Faculty of Literature and Languages. The committee focused on improving academic standards and enhancing coordination with affiliated colleges, addressing critical areas such as transitioning to the semester system, facility upgrades, and curriculum development.

According to University of Turbat, the meeting gathered key university figures including Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Mr. Gunguzar, Registrar; and several deans and directors. Dr. Saboor emphasized the importance of regular meetings to foster strong ties between the university and its affiliated colleges. He also highlighted ongoing efforts to communicate with the Education Department of Balochistan regarding updates to laboratories and standard operating procedures.

The committee reviewed various aspects of the affiliation process, including program offerings at colleges, faculty qualifications, accreditation standards, and the development of curricula. Additionally, issues like affiliation fees and the implementation of communication channels were discussed to ensure compliance with educational standards and smooth operation of new academic programs.

Decisions made during the meeting included scheduling the next committee session for September 25, 2024, and reinforcing the university’s commitment to supporting affiliated institutions through regular oversight and updated guidelines.

Dr. Saboor concluded the meeting by thanking the members for their contributions, which are pivotal in upholding the university’s educational mission.
