Islamia University of Bahawalpur Hosts PhD Defense in Information Management

Bahawalpur: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is set to conduct a PhD defense session at the Department of Information Management. The event, scheduled for September 13, 2024, at 2 PM, will feature presentations from several doctoral candidates, discussing topics ranging from e-learning to digital resource management in professional and academic settings.

According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan, the defense will take place in the Conference Room, Khawaja Ghulam Fareed Auditorium at the university’s campus. Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, the Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Chairperson of the Department of Information Management, will preside over the session. Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Khan and Dr. Khurshid Ahmad, both associate professors in the same department, will also participate as research supervisors.

The PhD candidates include Khurram Shahzad, whose research focuses on the role of e-learning for the continuing professional development of university librarians in Pakistan, and Marya Ahmad, who will present her findings on the impact of knowledge management factors on the utilization of digital resources in medical institutes of Pakistan. External examiners, Dr. Muhammad Ijaz Mairaj from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, and Dr. Muhammad Naushad Ghazanfar from Minhaj University Lahore, will evaluate the presentations and contribute to the discussion.
