Tammy Beaumont Hits Historic Century in Women’s ODI Against Ireland

Belfast: England opener Tammy Beaumont achieved a milestone by scoring her tenth ODI hundred, placing her among the top three players with the most centuries in women’s ODIs. Her spectacular performance helped England set a record total in their match against Ireland in Belfast.

According to International Cricket Council, Beaumont scored an unbeaten 150 from 139 balls, marking the fourth-highest individual score by an England player in women’s ODIs. This contribution propelled England to a score of 320, the highest total recorded in women’s ODIs at the Belfast venue. With this century, Beaumont surpassed England’s Charlotte Edwards in the number of ODI hundreds, now only trailing behind Meg Lanning and Suzie Bates on the all-time list.

Beaumont’s partnership with Freya Kemp was pivotal, with their rapid century stand boosting England’s innings. She reached her hundred in 117 balls and then accelerated, scoring the next fifty runs in just 22 balls. This marked her first ODI century in over two years, following a brief decline in form last year.

England’s bowling was equally dominant, dismissing Ireland for just 45 runs and securing a 275-run victory, the largest margin of victory in England’s women’s ODI history and the eighth highest overall.
