Karachi: Minhaj-ul-Quran’s Deputy Nazim-e-Aala in Sindh, Mazhar Mahmood Alvi, announced an ambitious initiative to establish 25,000 centers of learning across the region, aiming to eradicate societal ignorance and foster enlightenment. This effort aligns with the organization’s broader educational goals to address the root causes of societal issues through increased access to knowledge.
According to Minhaj-ul-Quran International announcement issued on 24 August 2024, Alvi emphasized that ignorance extends beyond illiteracy, encompassing a misunderstanding and misapplication of knowledge that hinders societal progress. He highlighted this challenge during an online meeting with Minhaj-ul-Quran officials from various districts within Sindh. The initiative, inspired by the vision of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, seeks to profoundly impact the community by correcting misconceptions and promoting educational values.
In his address, Alvi praised the efforts of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed Raza Baghdadi, the Director of Education and Professional Development, and his team for their commitment to realizing this project. Baghdadi provided a detailed briefing on the implementation strategies for the learning centers, outlining specific responsibilities and targets for local officials to ensure the success of the initiative.
